Sensual Breast Massage

Womans Breast Massage
As well as being highly pleasurable, breast massage has considerable health benefits too such as, improving blood and lymphatic circulation, flushing out toxins, understanding and noticing any changes in the breasts, strengthening the muscle tissue in the chest and bringing awareness, healing and increased sensitivity to the whole area. If done with a partner it can also deepen intimacy with each other. The area of the breasts is often the seat of a woman's sexuality and a powerful portal into the heart. Massaging this area connects to the heart energy which, from a tantric perspective, is also one of the energetic positive poles in women. Women have different levels of sensitivity which can change during the massage and may feel anything from mildly/gently stimulating to highly arousing sensations, so touch given in a mindful and loving way is essential.

A woman can of course do this herself, or if her partner would like to give the massage, here are a few tips...

Make yourself comfortable ~ Women, lie on your back using cushions to prop yourself up a little if you wish, with knees slightly bent so your partner can sit between your legs. Your partner could also sit behind you, supporting you in a more upright position, with you leaning back into him.

Take time to connect ~ This is a time for both of you to relax, drop the busyness of the mind and enjoy. Depending on the position that you have chosen, the man could place one hand over the woman's heart centre and spend a couple of minutes just gazing softly at each other. If the man is behind supporting her, acknowledge each others presence by gently breathing together.

Stay present ~ Once you're ready to begin the massage, the man can try this visualisation...remain aware of your breath whilst feeling or visualising a warm energy travelling from your heart, through your arms, spreading into your hands and fingertips and continuing into wherever your hands are on your partners body. Women, also stay aware of your breath. Keep your full attention in your breasts, visualising them filling with energy as you slowly inhale and exhale.

Warm some oil in the palms of your hands. Good quality coconut, grapeseed or almond are great choices.

~ Start by placing your hands in the centre of the chest and then, using the palm of your hand and light pressure, massage around the breast using slow circular movements.
~ Massage from centre outwards towards the shoulder or underarm area.
~ Take your time to enjoy the sensations whilst you let your hand glide slowly over your partners skin.
~ Using both hands, lift the breast away from the chest and gently knead using a lifting and pressing action.
~ Again with both hands and a sensitive touch, gently twist the breast in a kind of wringing motion.
~ Softly stroke the area between the breasts, gliding your hands up with feather like strokes.
~ Placing your hand over the breast so that you can feel the nipple touching the centre of your palm, spread your fingers wide and then slowly begin to bring them together until they reach the nipple where you can give a soft, light pinch.
~ Using your thumb and finger, slowly begin to massage the nipple in a circular motion. Continue on to gently squeezing and then pulling the nipple towards you - or away from you if sitting behind her.
~ Repeat on the other breast

To finish the massage, be sure to integrate the breasts with the rest of her body. You can do this by gently sweeping your hands up the centre of her chest, over her breasts, down her arms and over her belly. Over the breasts, up the neck, sides of the face and through the hair is also great if sitting behind her.

First tantric session?

Image containing text intimacy presence tantra
When going for a Tantra session, especially if it's the first time, along with a feeling of excitement it may also be quite daunting! You may have a whole cocktail of thoughts whirling around in your head: What will happen? What do I do? How should I be? What if I do something wrong?...

A beautiful and easier way to approach a session is with the curiosity of a child discovering something new. A child is very much in the present, not concerned with a particular outcome, just enjoying and engrossed fully in the moment.

A word that you may have heard when reading about Tantra is 'surrender.' This is not a surrender to another person or giving up/losing something of ourselves or abandoning personal responsibility. It is a letting go, a trusting. Letting go of any preconceived ideas of ourself, the session, the outcome, and the questions whirling around in our head, and trusting in the power of our higher self. A very simple way to experience surrender is with the breath. Each exhale is surrender, a letting go, reaching deeper, relaxing further. Letting go of this control, which is often fear based, can make us feel quite vulnerable at first but it also allows us to be more open and to connect more fully and authentically.

'The best way is to simply surrender to existence and allow it to take you wherever it takes you; it has never taken anybody into any wrong space. It always takes you back home. The essential surrender happens within you, it has nothing to do with anybody outside you. The basic surrender is a relaxation, a trust — so don’t be misguided by the word. Linguistically, surrender means to surrender to somebody, but religiously, surrender simply means trust, relaxing. It is an attitude rather than an act: you live through trust' ~ Osho

Spring

Yellow daffodils in field Spring solstice
With Spring Solstice in the air, it's a perfect time to welcome the season according to your beliefs and interests. It's the season of fertility, so a great time to plant the seed for new ideas and intentions.

I myself took part in a ceremony on the Solstice with the intention set as Transformation. It was a beautiful way to welcome a powerful intention through singing, prayer and sharing. Every intention is always made stronger and given power by voicing it to a group, this raises the vibration, provides group healing and sets up an energetic transmission. The power of prayer, being in gratitude and surrender strengthens our intentions and helps to manifest. The surrender is important to release any emotion around attachment to the outcome we may have for our intention, as it may not always look the way we envisioned it and it's important to try and see the changes in any small way they may be presented to us.

Renewal is born as we shine our light on our shadows, share our burdens and lighten our load. Liberating ourselves and feeling the freedom that is our birth right.

Female Massage - Releasing Inner Wild Woman

Rose petals sensualFemale Tantric massage is an amazing journey and never ending discovery.
The experience of a full body massage in such a heart felt way by fellow woman is extremely healing.

This massage entitles us and welcomes us to completely surrender and fully let go. An opportunity to focus on ourselves, and remind ourselves how fascinating and complex woman's sexuality really is.
The surrender can be challenging as we are used to interacting and engaging when in an intimate situation. In your Tantra massage we will support and hold the space for you to really own your own experience which is truly healing and empowering.

In these sessions it is possible to experience a range of different things from emotional releases to ecstatic bliss. As woman we often hold on to trauma in our bodies that we are totally unaware of. Trauma from childbirth, painful periods, sexual abuse, shame or guilt, to name a few. Also from being touched in ways that were neither respectful or satisfying.

Our intention is to be fully present and open to your needs whilst setting clear boundaries necessary in honouring such a sacred experience.
In Tantra massage the journey is always the most important part and the focus on breathe helps to keep us present and alive in each moment we experience. Goalposts only get in the way, along with expectations. Our childlike curiosity will stand us in good stead for embarking on our wild personal adventure!

A happy and loving 2010!

Champagne glasses New Years hopes and desires
A new year has begun. A time to remember the past:our achievements, experiences, good and bad times... A time to look forward:to hopes and desires, what we wish for...

This could also be the year in which we decide to just stay more in the present moment. In those moments were we find our mind beginning to wander aimlessly or perhaps going off on its own little mission somewhere, to consciously bring it right back to where we are, what we are doing, who we are with. Right now. Try dropping expectations of what we want, how it should be, and instead live what is happening right now. Live it fully. Live in totality. Live with presence.

'Meditation is an attitude not an activity, so whatever you do can become meditative. The so-called meditation that people go on doing is not meditation. It is the attitude of being in the present which is the core, the central, the essential thing. Do whatever you are doing - walking on the street, running, taking a bath, eating, going to sleep, lying on the bed, relaxing - and remain with the activity totally. With no past, no future, remain in the present. It will be difficult in the beginning - very difficult and very arduous - but by and by you will get the feel of it and then a new door will open, a new realm. Then the thought process will no longer be there' ~ OSHO

The gift of unconditional touch

Woman receiving a gift of massage touchThe power of touch is so great it can lift your spirit to new heights or bring you down to earth with a thud! It can bring tingling, feelings of being adored, irritation, numbness, passion, excitement, warmth...what have you felt? There is no touch more amazing than one which is given purely for touch's sake. It is not being initiated as a precursor for sex or on condition that we return the favour. To allow ourselves to receive and receive fully, we must surrender any goals or specific outcomes and instead be tuned in with and relax into whatever we may be feeling in that present moment and the easiest way of doing this is to stay conscious with your breath.

To give unconditional touch can be an incredibly sensual and also healing experience, both for the giver and receiver. When giving, start by taking your awareness away from your partner and focus on your fingertips. Bring them to life! If you close your eyes when you begin to touch, this will heighten the feeling in the pads of your fingers. Make your intention one of meditation and visualise or feel the energy coming from your hands. Let your fingers sense what is desired in that moment instead of worrying about a technique.

You can use slow sweeping strokes, light stroking or even your breath. Blowing slowly up the spine will make your partner tingle! Let a hand just rest sometimes, perhaps on the heart, and connect with the eyes. Explore the texture of the skin. Where does it change? Can you find the very smoothest part? Feel your partner's body temperature and for any sensations such as vibrating, tenseness, relaxation. Caress along the inner arms and down to the centre of the palms. Use your mouth and your breath around the neck and ears. Don't overlook any parts of the body...you may be surprised which areas bring pleasure!

If you feel yourself forming an agenda or getting restless, acknowledge that as a distraction and let yourself move through it, letting it pass. The key to giving is staying present and connected to your partner, thus creating trust and opening the heart centre.

Moving to the same rhythm

Man Woman Dancing Closeness Rhythm
There are days and moments when we can all feel a little out of rhythm with ourselves or our beloved. Hopefully though our desire is to come back and reconnect. This is a very simple but intimate meditation using the breath to tune in and connect with another person.

To begin the man sits leaning against a wall or something that can support him. The woman sits in front and slowly leans back into him, facing the same way. Close your eyes and start to tune into your own breath. Take the breath slowly down into the lower abdomen. Relax. After about 3 or 4 minutes or when the man feels ready he will begin to tune into the woman's breathing. He will breathe in when she breathes in and again follows her when she breathes out. Give yourselves at least 10 minutes before you then swop over. Stay in the same position but the woman will now follow the man's breath. You can finish this meditation by just lying and holding each other or moving into lovemaking.

This meditation is a wonderfully simple way of bringing in closeness, harmony and intimacy and if you wish can also be followed on from the eye gazing practice.

Small delights

Couple watching Sunset on a bench
Last week I was lucky enough to receive a beautiful massage from my Tantric partner. I really felt in need of some serious kneading and pummelling, with sensitivity being a key ingredient...this was certainly delivered with a healing touch...
So lovely to sink into that space of timelessness, feeling tensions and mind chatter slip away. I felt very quickly relaxed and connected to a greater whole. When my pampering session had come to an end I was left to gently rest on our massage table in our Tantric studio, which is situated at quite a height giving amazing views across London.
As I slowly opened my eyes and gently accustomed myself to my surroundings I was filled with a sudden wave of emotion at the beauty around me.The sun was slowly setting and a beautiful dusky red and gold sky was emerging in the distance. It felt at this time as though I was seeing the sunset for the very first time and it truly took my breath away. The richness of the colours merging and changing before my eyes, were truly magical!
It was a great reminder of the natural beauty that constantly surrounds us and the importance in allowing ourselves to slow down, become present in our bodies, and really look at things! Beauty is often in sometimes what we see as mundane or the simple things we take for granted...

Tip 3 - Eye Gazing

Man Woman Eye Gazing
In one of our sessions last week we were doing the beautiful practice of eye gazing. We were asked: ‘what happens if you are doing this with someone you are not attracted to, dislike or upset with?’...This practice can bring up many things for people: vulnerability, awkwardness, joy, resistance, openness, a feeling of being exposed or silly, ecstatic feelings...

Eye gazing is a form of meditation and can be done with a partner, a friend, on your own using a mirror, or sometimes with complete strangers if you are attending a workshop. The intention is to go behind and seeing beyond the other person’s expression or perceived level of attractiveness. Or in the case of a partner: perhaps any disagreements, grudges or resentments. It is about holding a sense of reverence and seeing the other person as a manifestation of the divine. It also teaches you to be fully present and relaxed, form deep connection, opens the heart and enables an acceptance of yourself and the person that you are sharing the practice with.

Agree on how long you will devote to this practice.
Start by sitting opposite each other, cross legged if that is comfortable, and close your eyes...
Begin to breathe slowly and deeply into the lower abdomen- It is not necessary at this point to try and synchronize your breathing together, although this tends to happen naturally after a while.
Once you feel centred and relaxed open your eyes...
Look into your partners left eye, keeping your eyes engaged but soft...
Let any thoughts, desires, distractions pass by allowing you the space to connect with the essence of the other person and then a feeling of expansion that goes beyond the two of you.
Finish with an embrace or Namaste and give each other five minutes in which to share how you felt.

Doing this practice creates oneness and a sense of dissolving or merging into another which are all important and central to the practice of Tantra.
